How to install .tar.gz file in linux

Installation of .tar.gz file is easy on linux..

1.) Extract .tar.gz file...
2.) Look inside extracted file for install.sh script..
3.) Now open your root terminal.
4.) Go to the extracted directory.
5.) & type command :: ./install & follow instructions...

that's it.

Avira Antivirus For Linux

Avg is always away some. But I felt it wasn't smart for Linux as well as Windows.

So, today I downloaded Avira Antivirus software for Linux. Now it is more powerful for security purposes.And the scanning result of Avira is too much good..

download ============>>>>

1.) Download Avira Antivirus (45MB)  [Note: downloaded file will be in .tar.gz formate.. ]
2.) install it
3.) open terminal
4.) Goto the directory which you want to scan
5.) then type command :  antivir -s

That's it...

What is Fedora?

Wine

Generally, it's not possible to install any Windows software in any Linux Operating Systems.
i.e. we can not use any kind of .exe file in Linux.

But there is a way to install Windows software in Linux. To install .exe file we have to install Wine software in Linux O.S. Due to wine Linux O.S. can't determine .exe format. And allows to install & use in computer.
But, some of the windows software may not be supported after installation.

to install wine, go through these steps ::

1.) Login as a root user in terminal.
2.) type :
            yum install wine

wait for a time.
In Application, wine'll be there.

Sound In Fedora

In Fedora distribution, sound codecs for any media player is not installed. So, no media player can play Audio / Video songs.
To remove this problem install VLC media player in your Fedora Distribution.

1.) Open your terminal.
2.) login as a root user.
3.) type this code :
                    yum install vlc

Now, wait for some time. Your terminal will download vlc media player with it's necessary codecs.

Once, complete..!!!

Now a days, open source platform is  growing more faster.
Due to,
          1.)  It's Free.
          2.)  We can change source code easily.
          3.)  Also can distribute it again as our own operating system.
          4.)  It is robust platform, don't need to restart for many time, may be
                some years also.
I installed Fedora Core 13 bundled with Linux For You magazine. It was fantastic.
User friendly nature it has. Special command for installation is yum to perform some specific tasks like installing, removing etc. related to add/removing or upgrading any software.

I'm student of Computer Science & Engineering. So, I ever like play around open source play ground.
